The 11th Annual Dia de los Muertos festival has made its home in Oceanside, California for many years and has become a cultural community tradition. The event was the creation of MainStreet Oceanside, Oceanside’s non-profit downtown business association. The event has grown to an attendance of 40,000+ in the last years and is an attraction for visitors locally and regionally. In 2009, MainStreet Oceanside decided they were unable to fund this event. Mission San Luis Rey stepped in after much outcry from the community to host the event on the mission grounds thereby continuing this community tradition. In order to do this, sponsorship and partnerships are needed. Support from our local small business and corporate community is a wonderful way to gain the social responsibilty leadership and visibility you may be seeking.
